I play in a community orchestra, usually first horn. I was using a DW/Paxman #4, but during this Covid shutdown I have been practicing at home using a DW/Paxman #2, which seems to give an even bigger sound, while still maintaining a very good high register. I used to play trombone, so perhaps that is why I can handle such a big horn mouthpiece. I think that the #2 should be fine for almost everything, except perhaps for very high horn parts in Handel or Bach.

An excellent mouthpiece for clarifying the lower range for 4th horns. A marked increase in power but needs more lip strength to play higher range.

It has given me so much more stability in the mid-low register. Can also comfortably produce comfortably strong sound in the pedal territory and it has not affected my high register at all. Best mouthpiece I have ever purchased!
